The COVID-19 pandemic shuttered schools - and therefore, in-person band rehearsals - for well over a year. As groups came back together, many programs found themselves forced to basically restart from scratch, with some musicians not having played during most of the the time that they were apart. This high-energy work features driving percussion and a melody that shifts between remembering what we lost in that time, and a sense of hope for better days ahead.
