My love for aviation and the feeling of flight reaches back to my early childhood; one of the earliest things I can remember is going to see my dad on the weekends and playing Microsoft Flight Simulator 98 for hours on end. Later in life, I took my first flight in the captain's seat, and I was instantly hooked. Based on my orchestral piece Amongst the Clouds, this three-movement show is sure to inspire this feeling in audience members and judges alike, and is a great selection for more advanced competitive bands.
