Limbo is a piece that got its start as a composition project during my freshman year at Wayne State University. This was composed as a part of a study on proportional notation; there is no set rhythm or time, but rather a series of musical events that each come after another. The piece itself is meant to give the listener a constant sense of uncertainty through this lack of pulse. The non-standard quartet also makes for some very interesting color combinations.

Live performance at Shawn Lee's Senior Composition Recital, March 3, 2020.
